📌 Note: BAMS/AYUSH candidates register through the same UGNEET application as MBBS/BDS candidates (17–24 July 2026) — there is no separate AYUSH-only registration form. For full step-by-step registration details, see our UGNEET Karnataka 2026 guide →. AYUSH counselling then runs its own, separately scheduled rounds — as of 7 October 2026, AYUSH has reached First Round seat allotment while Medical/Dental has already reached Third Round final result.

About BAMS/AYUSH Karnataka 2026
UG AYUSH is the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) counselling stream that allots BAMS (Ayurveda), BUMS (Unani) and BHMS (Homoeopathy) seats in Karnataka colleges — on the basis of a candidate's NEET UG 2026 rank. It shares its registration with UGNEET (Medical/Dental) but runs its own, separately scheduled counselling rounds.
In the 2026 cycle, NEET UG results were declared on 16 July 2026, and KEA opened a combined UGNEET registration window (covering MBBS, BDS and AYUSH candidates together) from 17 to 24 July 2026. From there, however, Medical/Dental (UGNEET) and AYUSH counselling proceed on separate timelines: by early October 2026, Medical/Dental counselling had already reached its Third Round final result (6 October), while AYUSH counselling's First Round seat allotment was only just announced on the same date — meaning AYUSH candidates are effectively a couple of rounds behind Medical/Dental on the calendar.
UG AYUSH counselling determines admission to:
- BAMS — Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (5.5 years, NCISM-regulated)
- BHMS — Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery
- BUMS — Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery
AACCC vs KEA — Which One Applies to You?
AACCC (Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee) conducts All India Quota and deemed/central-university BAMS/BHMS/BUMS counselling nationally. KEA, covered on this page, conducts Karnataka state-quota AYUSH counselling separately. Which one applies to you depends on your seat category (state quota vs. all-India/deemed) and the specific college you're targeting — many Karnataka aspirants need to track both processes in parallel.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifying exam: A valid NEET UG 2026 rank/scorecard issued by NTA.
- Educational qualification: 10+2/PUC with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, minimum 50% aggregate (40% for reserved categories).
- Registration: Through the same UGNEET registration window as MBBS/BDS candidates (17–24 July 2026) — no separate AYUSH-only form.
- Reservation categories: SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD relaxations apply as per Karnataka government and NEET norms.
BAMS/AYUSH Counselling & Seat Allotment Process
UG AYUSH counselling follows a structure similar to UGNEET (Medical/Dental), just on its own schedule:
| Stage | What Happens |
|---|---|
| 1. Registration | Shared UGNEET registration/linking — covers MBBS, BDS and AYUSH candidates together. |
| 2. Option Entry | Log in to the KEA portal and rank preferred AYUSH colleges/courses (BAMS/BHMS/BUMS) in order. |
| 3. Seat Allotment | KEA publishes round-wise seat allotment based purely on NEET-UG rank and submitted choices. |
| 4. Seat Matrix & Fee Payment | A provisional/final seat matrix and the official AYUSH fee structure are published; allotted candidates pay the confirmation fee. |
| 5. Subsequent Rounds | Vacant seats are carried forward to later AYUSH rounds for candidates not yet allotted. |
Because AYUSH is running behind the Medical/Dental timeline, don't assume your AYUSH round status mirrors what you may have seen for MBBS/BDS. Track the AYUSH-specific notifications on the KEA portal separately, and list every BAMS/BHMS/BUMS college you'd genuinely accept, in true preference order.
