Methodology
Cutoffs in this table are KEA UGCET Round 1 closing ranks for the 2024 KCET admission cycle, sourced from KEA's published allotment reports and TurtleEdu's verified counselling records of 50,000+ Karnataka students since 2013. We treat 2024 cutoffs as a strong proxy for KCET 2026 because:
- Branch-wise rank distribution has been stable year-on-year (within ±15%) for the top 20 Karnataka colleges.
- Reservation category cutoffs follow consistent ratios — GM:2A:SC:ST typically scale 1 : 1.6–2.2 : 4–6 : 6–10.
- 2026 cutoffs may shift slightly with the new branch popularity weighting (AIML demand growing 30%/year).

How to read this table
- Closing rank = the lowest-ranked candidate who got admission in that branch/category combination. If your KCET rank is below this number, you have a high probability of allotment.
- GM = General Merit (no reservation). 2A = Backward Class 2A (OBC subset). SC = Scheduled Caste. ST = Scheduled Tribe.
- 2B, 3A, 3B follow GM/2A patterns — closing ranks typically fall between GM and 2A. Contact our counsellors for specific category cutoffs.
- Cutoffs are for government-quota seats through KEA. Management quota and COMEDK have separate rank lists.
Important context for KCET 2026 aspirants
- Rank inflation: KCET 2026 had ~3.5 lakh PCM aspirants, marginally higher than 2024. Expect closing ranks to expand 5–10% for the same college.
- AI/ML & CSE demand: Both branches saw 25–40% rank-cutoff tightening in 2024 vs 2023. Plan for further tightening in 2026.
- Karnataka domicile is mandatory for KEA government-quota seats. Non-domicile students must use COMEDK or management quota.
