Pro Tips for KEA Option Entry

  1. List options in genuine preference order, not "safe" choices. KEA's algorithm allots the highest-ranked option you can secure — being honest is always optimal.
  2. Add 30-50+ options minimum. More options = wider safety net.
  3. Mix tiers: top dream colleges → mid-tier likely → safe backups.
  4. Use the mock allotment. If your dream college doesn't show, you have time to add options below it.
  5. Don't blindly accept Round 1 allotment if you can do better. Choose "Accept & Consider higher" if a better seat is realistic in Round 2.
  6. Watch the mop-up & stray vacancy round. 15-20% of seats reopen after no-shows.
  7. Talk to a counsellor before submitting — TurtleEdu offers free review of your option list. Call +91 63666 14585.
